After one year “Other People Also Bought” has come to an end. The script started adding items to the cart on April 18, 2013. Over the course of twelve months, it collected 26224 products – always following Amazon’s recommendation engine – and virtually spent more than $550000.

Douglas Hofstadter's Fluid Concepts & Creative Analogies: Computer Models of the Fundamental Mechanisms of Thought, to our shopping cart, we created a script that automatically added the next recommended item through Amazon’s “Other People Also Bought” algorithm to the same cart. The script started as soon as someone was watching otherpeoplealsobought.
